100% Organic Cotton

The Water Print Network estimates on a global average it takes approximately 11,000 litres of water to produce 1 kilogram cotton textile; of that approximately 3500 litres of water is used to produce one pair of jeans, according to Michael Kobori, V.P. of Levi-Strauss. 3500 litres included the water needed for cotton growth, milling it into denim and pre-washes.

Cotton contributes to *11% of the world’s pesticides, most of them deadly to birds and marine life. Stating the use of 100% organic cotton means a commitment to the production of both sustainable and pesticide free cotton.
